UChicago x Lost Boyz Inc x Good Athlete Project
Fundraiser Mission: “Help Chicago’s Youth”
Lost Boyz works to provide academic and athletic development for boys and girls in Chicago’s under-resourced neighborhoods, helping to reduce violence, improve social conditions, and develop life skills.
Throughout last winter and spring, the UChicago Football Team began an in-person tutoring initiative with Lost Boyz. At least once a week, a group of players went to tutor kids K-12 in math and English. After just a few sessions, we realized first-hand many of the obstacles they navigate daily due to the lack of resources many of us would consider basic.
All proceeds will go to support Lost Boyz’ Educational Development and Sports/Health Equipment related needs:
Upgrade the WiFi plan; and/or purchase WiFi boosters (online tutoring)
Purchase desk dividers to minimize room distractions
Purchase tutoring material (as needed): Whiteboard, dry erase markers/erasers, pencils, notebooks, math and English workbooks, etc.
Additional laptop/headphones or upgrades to current equipment
We truly can’t thank you enough for all your support in helping us fuel our mission to maximize the potential of athletics as education!
